Steve, a Chartered Engineer and Member of the IET, has a Masters degree in electrical and electronic engineering. Most of his career has been spent in the wireless industry, focused on cellular, satcom and IoT. His work for start-ups, spin-outs and blue-chips has required extensive travel and he brings an international outlook to the business.
I get a kick out of helping to translate a client’s commercial objectives into a set of technical developments that will meet their user and investor expectations. Sounds a bit twee, doesn’t it? But for me, that’s the most critical part of what we do at Fen.
I’m all about the bass. The double-bass, that is. A relatively recently acquired interest. That said, it has to compete with bread baking and beer brewing for attention in my down-time.
Fen Technology has been a valuable addition to the Xaar engineering team. They have allowed our engineers to remain focused on core developments and at the same time giving us the confidence that we can take on a greater developmental roadmap whilst retaining full intellectual ownership of all our product designs.
Fen was able to hit the ground running and, using their considerable skills and experience in Bluetooth product development, was able to quickly bring Securecom to a point where we were able to demonstrate a complete solution. As a result, we have asked Fen to continue to support Securecom towards Bluetooth Qualification and full production.
